Lives in : Cerulean City, Kanto

  Misty is the youngest of four Cerulean City Gym sisters. She wants to be the greatest water type Pokémon Master. Because she's the youngest she feels a little neglected and she leaves Cerulean City to fullfil her dream.

Misty meets Ash when he's chased by a group of furious Spearow somewhere near Veridian City. He lends Misty's bike to bring the wounded Pikachu to the nearest Pokémon Centre.

When Misty find her bike, it's completely carbonized. She wants Ash to buy her a new bike, but since he's no money, she follows him everywhere.

Misty has a real inflexible characters and she is very suspicious. It's almost a desease. She becomes very angry when Ash or someone else has comment on her beauty or romance. She is indeed very romantic but her patience is almost inexistant. She has also a phobia for insect Pokémon, carrots and hot peppers. When an insect Pokémon such as Caterpie approaches her she's almost petrified. But Misty can be really nice too. When Ash and Tracey were paralyzed in "The Stun Spore Detour", she took care of them in a very sweet way.

Although she and Ash don't admit it, it looks like they're in love with each other. Their relation appears a lot in the 2th season. Tracey teases Ash and Misty with it and they get both angry with him. In Pokémon 2000, Misty gets jealous when another girl has an eye on Ash. At the end she declares: "And Ash isn't alone,... because he got me." Maybe we'll learn more about it during the 3rd and 4th season.

Misty's Pokémon are: Staryu, Starmie, Goldeen, Horsea and Psyduck. Psyduck manages to make her furious at each of his stupidities.
