At the beginning of his adventures, Ash is a 10 year old boy
who dreams about becoming the greatest Pokémon Master of all times. His
Pokémon journey begins on the day of his 10th birthday, when Professor
Oak gives him Pikachu. Ash is very optimistic and when he earns his first badges, there's no stopping him. Ash doesn't know a lot about Pokémon, such as type advantage, names, etc. Misty and Brock help him during his struggle to become the best. |
Ash is very heady and when he's something in mind, it's very difficult to
stop him. He's also a boaster, except when Gary is nearby. When he's confronted
to things like romance, perfume, girls,... he's rather clumsy. Sometimes even
Pikachu thinks he's stupid ^_^
Ash can be jealous too, but not often. He's a little bit jealous on his mum's
Mr. Mime because he thinks he's taking his place at home.
Luckily Ash learns quickly and and becomes more mature and a better trainer
thanks to his adventures, but escpecially because of his defeats. Ash becomes
independant when he exceeds his companions' level at the Indigo League. He
becomes more modest and tries to understand his Pokémon as well as he can.
Ash tries to be his Pokémon's best friend and to do so, he sometimes exposes
himself to danger to protect his Pokémon. Thanks to that he and Pikachu becomes
the best friends in the world (he protected Pikachu against the group of furious
Sprearow).
Sometimes Ash has an autority problem with his Pokémon. They don't listen to
him: Pikachu in the first episode, Primeape in "The Punchy Pokémon"
and Charizard, who always toasts him. Charizard will only listen to them after
he sees that Ash really cares about him in "Charizard Chills".
As Ash becomes better and better he is confronted to more and more rival,
starting with Gary who can really enerve him and Jessie, James and Meowth from
Team Rocket.
Ash ended 16th at the Indigo League, won the Orange League and is heading for
the Johto League right now. He still has a lot to learn, but thanks to Misty and
Brock, he'll succeed.
Ash's Pokémon are: Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmender - Charmeleon - Charizard,
Squirtle, Caterpie - Metapod - Butterfree, Pidgey, Pidgeotto, Pidgeot, Primeape,
Tauros, Krabby - Kingler, Muk, Haunter, Lapras, Snorlax and Chikorita.
He left some of his Pokémon go their own way, like Charizard at the Charicific
Valley, to become stronger.
